What it is, if you have a Attck panic that lasts several days? Is it considered a panic attack?

Advice question: My friend was experiencing symptoms of a panic Attck. But it has been ongoing for several days. HES we still beating heart and he is angry a lot, and it does not quite know what to do. Im not even know what the problem is but it sounds like a Attck panic, but panic Attck usually last 10 minutes, not hours each day.

This is a very interesting question that I had my first panic attack in my work as a medical transcriptionist / triage nurse, and so on for the three cardiac surgeons. I was typing away, which is 1985 in Charleston, SC, and had my first panic attack – the most horrible thing I have ever lived, believe me. I felt like I was dying and I was worried that my children and take care of them in the future. Well, I was given Xanax slowly through one of the doctors and lied on his couch in his office. He had to give doses of Xanax from time to time and I finally out of the attack. But I finally did and went home with my friend, my doctor asked our bureau.Quelques days later, while I was making rounds in a nearby hospital for admittance and such, I am suddenly became weak and could not breathe. Fortunately, my other doctor in the office was there to speak with a nurse and saw me. He sat me down and breathing through a brown paper bag, thinking I was hyperventilating. Did not work of course. So I was wheeled to the emergency room and he met me there and started the Xanax (or another sedative of the same class) IV and had to keep pushing very often. Why? Because my blood gases were all gone haywire and I left my body electrolytes, mainly potassium almost completely. He had to keep giving me the Xanax and watching my blood gases and potassium, and so on. Finally, all my bloodwork was back to normal, even potassium. He had my boyfriend take me home, normal again, after only an hour or two, and watch me for the night. Anyway, it happened again, and I was hospitalized for five days or more. Nothing showed up. Honest! So I have been on Xanax for these opportunities in the future and it was a miracle drug for me. Sometimes I never take Xanax for a month, but when I do a panic attack will require about 20 milligrams to combat it. If I would take that much without being prey to an attack, destroy me mentally for a long time! But when you use it for what it is intended, you’ll be so happy to have on hand a little this time. I’ve got you here to tell you that both of my doctors to see me during panic attacks said they were giving me so much Xanax to make me “normal”, they were really scared for me. But they said all he did was make me return to my normal state. And I can really say the same thing I was not drugged at all and I felt completely normal. They were very surprised that I did not have “high” or “crazy” but I’m not at all! Anyway, that’s my experience with panic attacks. I can not believe that each of us could have another type of panic attack, but if you take the Xanax and did not become “high”, then it’s nuts! But take it without having a panic attack will only make you strange, top and if you like, then you do not use during a panic attack. And a doctor will know for sure! Do not abuse a drug that is a miracle worker for us with panic attacks who really need it, OK? “
